Use BlueStacks to Play Wordscapes for PC
In our article on how to play Words With Friends on a computer, we say the easiest option is to play Words With Friends on Facebook. All you need is your computer’s web browser and a Facebook account, navigating to the Facebook version of the game to play. This is also true for Wordscapes. Simply go to the Facebook app page, authorize the permissions, and start playing.
If you’d rather download Wordscapes for PC, you will need an Android emulator like BlueStacks. That’s because there is no Wordscapes app for Windows or Mac. An emulation program, though, lets you run Android apps on your computer. The BlueStacks website offers full instructions on how to do this so you can play Wordscapes on PC.
Download and install the BlueStacks software on your Windows PC.
If you are on a Mac, download and install the BlueStacks App Player for Mac.
Sign into your Google account to access the Google Play Store.
Look for Wordscapes using the provided search bar.
Click to install the game.
From the BlueStacks home screen, click on the Wordscapes icon to start playing.
After you’ve set up BlueStacks on your computer, you can enjoy any number of other fun Android word games too. Just search for them within the BlueStacks interface to download and install.
Try NoxPlayer for Windows PC and Mac?
BlueStacks isn’t the only Android emulator available for Windows PC and Mac systems. Another popular option is NoxPlayer (sometimes listed as Nox Player). Functionally, it’s very similar in that it allows you to run Android apps on either a Windows PC or a Mac computer. And just like BlueStacks, NoxPlayer is free to download and use.
However, there are reports online that NoxPlayer may infect your system with malware. Some users have been able to block the alleged spyware and use NoxPlayer safely. Proceed at your own risk and discretion.
Wordscapes for Chromebook
In order to run Android apps on a Windows PC or Mac computer, you need to use an emulation program of some kind. The overwhelming majority of current Chromebook devices, which run on Chrome OS, have a built-in emulator for Android apps. You have direct access to the Google Play Store, with the exception of some older Chromebooks that lack this capability.
If you’d like to enjoy Wordscapes for PC, another option would be to play Wordscapes on a Chromebook. Many include video output capabilities too, so you can connect a larger monitor (or even your TV!) if you want to play Wordscapes on a bigger screen.
Games Like Wordscapes in Microsoft Store
If you’d like to play an anagram-solver game that’s similar to Wordscapes, even if it’s not Wordscapes for PC itself, you’ll find several options in the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. Some of these include:
Word Link: Wordscapes
Text Connect 2 - Word Games Puzzle
Word Cross Puzzle - Word Connect Games
Word Puzzle: A Word Connect Game

Going with the unofficial route can sometimes reveal some unique experiences, like the variety of single player Scrabble games online. And just as Windows users have access to the Microsoft Store, Mac users can search for word games via the Mac App Store as well.
