Words ending in Letter S

When thinking about words that end in S, plural words are the most obvious CANDIDATES. With some noted exceptions, like how the plural form of “sheep” is still “sheep,” most singular NOUNS become plural when you add the letter S to the end. One car becomes many CARS, just as one piglet becomes many PIGLETS. But there is far more to words that end with S than just plural nouns.
